Teenager Fakes Illness to Avoid School

Kathmandu. Popular Telegram channel 'Mass' recently published the strange story of a Moscow couple who had been trying to diagnose their teenage daughter's serious illness for more than a year and a half.

According to the mother, her 14-year-old daughter's body suddenly started bleeding one day, and over time her symptoms worsened.

The daughter's condition became so critical that blood started bleeding from her nose, eyes, ears, chest, uterus, and navel. The parents took her to the emergency room many times and underwent many health tests, ultrasounds, endoscopies, and colonoscopies, but all the reports came back normal. Once, doctors even tested the girl for cancer, but that report also came back negative.

After searching for answers and visiting hospitals for a year and a half, the 14-year-old girl's family discovered a strange pattern in her symptoms. She would always fall ill at the beginning of the new academic session in September, then her bleeding would decrease during school holidays, and it would disappear completely during the summer holidays.

Putting all these things together, the parents realized that their daughter was faking illness to avoid going to school.

According to Mass, the girl's mother is still not ready to believe that her daughter could harm herself and smear blood all over her body to show bleeding from all organs. She is still visiting doctors in search of alternative answers.

Some experts suspect that the teenager may be suffering from 'Munchausen syndrome', a condition where people deliberately exhibit symptoms of illness to gain care and attention from others.

Although she has missed most classes for the past year and a half, the girl has not been expelled from school yet.
