Congress MP Arjun Narsingh KC Questions Prime Minister Balen Shah's Presence in Parliament

Kathmandu. Chief opposition party Nepali Congress lawmaker Arjun Narsingh KC has commented that Prime Minister Balen Shah does not feel like an integral part of the parliament. He even questioned whether the Prime Minister is a part of the parliament. He also claimed that Prime Minister Shah appears to be the emperor of some separate island rather than of the country. Leader KC objected to Prime Minister Shah, who is also handling the responsibility of Home Minister, not being present in the parliament at a time when the government should be serious about disaster management. He said, 'The Honorable Prime Minister is currently the Home Minister, and disaster is a matter that the Ministry of Home Affairs takes seriously. Now that he is the Home Minister himself, is he himself a part of this parliament? Mr. Speaker, I am not aware of this, is he the emperor of some separate island empire or an integral part of this parliament? I would like to draw attention to that as well.' He further added, 'The government needs to pay serious attention to this serious matter, and we cannot establish order from the disorder of the past years alone; we can create something new only through a work plan with a clear concept to establish order from every disorder.' Lawmaker KC also emphasized the need for the government to pay serious attention to disaster management.
