Rastriya Swatantra Party MP Nisha Dangi Demands Government Action Against Drug Abuse

Kathmandu. Ruling party Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) MP Nisha Dangi has demanded that the government make drug use zero in five years. Speaking during the zero hour of the House of Representatives meeting on Tuesday, Dangi made such a demand. She also said that when she went to her constituency, many mothers and fathers, with tears in their eyes, appealed to her to protect their children from drugs.

She said that such problems are seen and heard not only in Jhapa Constituency Number 1 but in every border area. Stating that drug use and trafficking in Nepal have appeared as a national problem, she also said that according to the Narcotics Control Bureau, there are more than 150,000 drug users.

Especially as this problem is in the border areas, drawing the government's attention, she said, 'I urge you to conduct campaigns like 'Say No to Drugs' in these five years and make drug use zero.'
