Pramila Aryal Suggests PM Balen Shah Retract Statement on Indian Land

Kathmandu. CPN-UML Parliamentary Party Deputy Leader Padma Aryal has suggested that Prime Minister Balen Shah retract his statement that Nepal has encroached upon Indian land, violating diplomatic dignity and official responsibility, and apologize. Aryal, who is also the Deputy Leader of the UML Parliamentary Party, said this while speaking at the meeting on Monday. 

"A serious debate and protest is happening today regarding the statement that encroaches upon national sovereignty and integrity," Aryal said. "Despite our repeated requests, the mistake that the Prime Minister made should be corrected and an apology should be sought, but it was not heard."

She stated that when the map was issued including the encroached land, it did not become an issue of the ruling party and the opposition, and that there should be a common consensus on the issue of nationality. She also demanded that the House be adjourned until the Prime Minister corrects his statement by passing a resolution on the issue of nationality.
