Gyanendra Shahi Demands Treason Charges Against Finance Minister for Tax Rate Manipulation

Kathmandu. Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) parliamentary party leader Gyanendra Shahi has stated that no one except the Finance Minister should know about the manipulation of tax rates, demanding an investigation into Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle and treason charges against him.

Leader Shahi said this during the House of Representatives meeting on Monday. He said, 'The Finance Minister must be thoroughly investigated in this case and treason charges should be filed.'

He questioned how the information about the manipulation of tax rates leaked, alleging that vehicles involved in tax evasion entered through the Korala and Rasuwagadhi crossings. He demanded the formation of a parliamentary inquiry committee on the matter.
