Communist Party MP Pun Reiterates Demand to Remove PM Shah's Statement from Parliamentary Record

Kathmandu. Communist Party of Nepal MP Barshaman Pun has stated that their stance remains firm that Prime Minister Balendra Shah should remove the statement from the parliamentary record that India has encroached on Nepal's border.

In an emergency meeting of the House of Representatives, MP Pun stated that Prime Minister Shah should also explain his intention when he came to the House of Representatives, standing at the rostrum.

Rabi Lamichhane, chairman of the ruling party National Independent Party, said that holding an all-party meeting on the current political situation was positive. He said that the discussion on the controversial issues was positive and that more time was needed for further discussion to resolve the controversy.

He said that they want the house to run regularly. However, he stated that the issues raised in the house should be clarified.
