Office of the Auditor General Releases 63rd Annual Report Summary

Kathmandu. The Office of the Auditor General has made public the summary of the 63rd annual report for the fiscal year 2081/082, bringing out the detailed description of the audit of provinces and local levels.

According to the report, audit of a total of 3 kharba 20 arab 30 crore rupees of 1 thousand 124 bodies under 7 provinces has been completed this year. Of the provincial offices, 24 units had pending audits of 2 arab 23 crore rupees until last year, and this year 4 units have got audits of 1 arab 22 crore rupees done. However, the report mentions that 3 provincial offices have still not conducted audits this year.

Similarly, for local levels, audit of a total of 11 kharba 9 arab 52 crore rupees of 721 bodies has been completed this year. This includes 4 metropolitan cities, 10 sub-metropolitan cities, 261 municipalities, and 446 rural municipalities. The Auditor General's report points out that 1 local level among the local governments has been left to conduct its audit this year.
