One Arrested with 83 Grams of Heroin in Budhanilkantha

Kathmandu. A police team from the Narcotics Control Bureau, Koteshwor, has arrested one person with 83 grams of brown heroin from Budhanilkantha.

The Bureau took him under control on Thursday from the area located in Ward No. 11 of Budhanilkantha Municipality with illegal narcotics.

The arrested person has been identified as Kedar Rai, 31, a resident of Ward No. 5, Chaudandigadhi Municipality, Udayapur district. The police also recovered a digital scale used for weighing narcotics from his possession.

According to the Bureau's spokesperson and information officer, Police Superintendent Durga Raj Regmi, further investigation is underway against the arrested Rai under the Narcotics (Control) Act, 2033. The police are investigating how long he has been involved in the narcotics trade and what its source is.
