Restaurant Charges Extra Fee for Vomiting Due to Overeating

Sevilla. The restaurant 'Sushi Toro' located in Gelves, Seville region of Spain, has decided to charge an extra fee to customers who vomit on the restaurant premises due to overeating. The management has taken such a strict step after incidents of vomiting in the restaurant increased in recent months due to overeating. This unique rule has now made the restaurant quite famous.

The notice published by the restaurant states, 'If any customer vomits due to overeating, the restaurant reserves the right to charge them an additional fee to compensate for the damage caused.'

According to the restaurant management, this fee was the only option as the increasing incidents of vomiting have directly affected other customers, service delivery, management, and sanitation.

The restaurant has sought the cooperation of customers as the greed for overeating was spoiling health and the restaurant environment. The management stated, 'We work hard to prepare orders on time and maintain good sanitation, so we expect cooperation from customers as such incidents are affecting other customers dining at the restaurant.'

The restaurant has not clearly disclosed the exact amount of fine that customers who vomit will have to pay. However, the price of the buffet there ranges from 16.90 euros to 23.90 euros depending on the day and time.

Restaurant operators believe that this 'vomit fee' will be effective in discouraging greedy customers who overeat and maintaining the restaurant's hygiene.
