Man Arrested for Forging Daughter's Educational Certificates

Kathmandu. The Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office has arrested a person who was absconding after being convicted by the court on charges of forging his daughter's educational certificates.

The arrested person is 61-year-old Krodi Frech Chhetri alias Fardinanda Valentine Fetz, residing in Adarsha Tole, Ward No. 3, Lalitpur Metropolitan City.

It was confirmed that Fetz had forged government stamps and signatures by creating fake documents including fake transcripts for his daughter's class 11 and 12 examinations. A case of forgery of government stamp and signature was filed against him based on a complaint from the Higher Secondary Education Board, Examination Controller's Office, Sano Thimi, Bhaktapur.

On Baisakh 3, 2082, the Bhaktapur District Court sentenced him to one year imprisonment and a fine of 50 rupees in this case. While searching for him after the court's verdict, a team from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office apprehended him on the morning of Baisakh 29 at 11 AM in Tilganga, Kathmandu.

The arrested Fetz was presented at the Bhaktapur District Court on the same day for the execution of his imprisonment and fine sentence. According to Police Superintendent Rameshwor Karki, the Office's Information Officer, he was sentenced for the offense as per the section of forgery of documents in the prevailing Muluki Ain.
