Ranveer Singh to play Lord Shiva in 'The Immortals of Meluha' film series

New Delhi. Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh will be seen in a film based on the story of Lord Shiva. In this film, Ranveer will play the role of Lord Shiva.

According to media reports, Ranveer will play the role of Lord Shiva in a film based on 'The Immortals of Meluha'. Ranveer has acquired the rights of 'The Immortals of Meluha' through his production company 'Maa Kasam Films'.

This book and its two sequels tell the story of a Himalayan warrior in the ancient kingdom of Meluha. Ranveer plans to develop this story into a series of three major films in collaboration with Birla Studios.

Ranveer has wanted to bring this story to the big screen for a long time. It is said that the entire team is working on the screenplay of the film. Filming for the first film is expected to begin in 2028. Currently, the details of the project are being kept secret, and the director's name has not been finalized. After the screenplay is ready, the director will be chosen.

'The Immortals of Meluha' is the first book of Amish Tripathi's Shiva trilogy, published in 2010. It tells the story of a simple Himalayan warrior named Shiva who arrives in the kingdom of Meluha.

The story mixes mythology, history, and fantasy. Then came 'The Secret of the Nagas' and 'The Oath of the Vayuputras'. These three books are among India's best-selling trilogies. More than 2.5 million copies have been sold to date.
