Israel's Knesset Passes Bill to Establish Special Military Court for October 7 Attack Suspects

तेल अभिभ । The Israeli parliament Knesset has passed a bill to establish a special military court to prosecute Palestinians accused of involvement in the attack on October 7, 2023. 

It is said that the law allows for the death penalty for those convicted. According to Israeli media outlet Times of Israel, the bill was passed with the support of both the ruling coalition and opposition parties.

According to the report, the new military court will also be empowered to amend existing rules regarding evidence, proof, and legal procedures. It is mentioned that special arrangements can be implemented regarding the use of witness testimony and other evidence.

Following the October 7 attack, Israeli security forces arrested approximately 300 Palestinians, who are still in jail. According to the report, provisions have been made to impose sentences up to the death penalty for those convicted of charges related to genocide.
