Iran Warns of Strong Response to US Military Attack, Rules Out Talks

Tehran. Iran has warned of a strong and stern response to a US military attack. Also, Iran has clarified that it has no plan to participate in any kind of talks in the current situation. Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Baghai, speaking to reporters at a memorial event in Tehran on Wednesday, said - 'We have no plan for talks right now. Our entire focus is on defending the country.'

He said that if America violates its commitments, Iran will not be bound by any agreement. Baghai said - 'If America violates its obligations, we will not adhere to any agreement. This is our principle and we will stick to it.' According to him, Iran's view is that America has failed to adhere to the ceasefire since its inception.

Meanwhile, shortly after Baghai's statement was made public, Iran's semi-official Mehr News Agency reported that US forces attacked Hengam Island near the Strait of Hormuz. Meanwhile, the US military's Central Command (CENTCOM) also confirmed that another round of airstrikes against Iran was completed on Wednesday.

According to the US side, these attacks were aimed at weakening Iran's ability to target ships in the Strait of Hormuz. This is the fifth consecutive day that the US has continued military attacks against Iran.
