Government Announces Facial Recognition System at Border Crossings

Kathmandu. The government has announced the introduction of a facial recognition system at border crossings. In the upcoming fiscal year 2083/084's policy and program, President Ramchandra Paudel announced the integrated border management information system including the facial recognition system at border crossings. 

The government has also announced automated surveillance infrastructure at border crossings. The government has announced to stop illegal activities by using drones and night vision cameras at the border.
