Mahanaayak Rajesh Hamal Stresses Importance of Water Conservation

Kathmandu. Nepali cinema's Mahanaayak Rajesh Hamal has urged everyone to pay attention to its conservation, stating that water is the most important basis for human life. He was of the opinion that human life is not possible without water.

Speaking at the public program of senior folk singer Bam Bahadur Karki's new musical creation 'Ma Hun Pani', Hamal expressed various views on the value of water and its relationship with human existence.

'The three basic needs of human life are water, air, and food', Hamal further said, 'As long as these things are easily available, we don't give them much importance and we run after material comforts. But when these basic things become scarce, then no other object has any meaning.'

Mentioning that 75 to 80 percent of our body is made up of water, Hamal said that conserving water is the duty of every citizen. He said, 'Let's not be careless thinking it's just water, it's an extremely valuable thing. Let's use and conserve it properly.'

At the program, Hamal discussed the contribution of singer Bam Bahadur Karki and recalled that his evergreen song 'Panko Paat' gained fame not only in Nepal but all over the world. Saying that he used to dance to Karki's songs even before he entered the film industry, he expressed happiness to be associated with this new project.
