Ilam District Committee Distributes Land Ownership Certificates to 378 Families

Ilam. Under the management of landless Dalits, landless squatters, and unorganized residents through the Land Problem Resolution Commission District Committee Ilam, land ownership certificates have been distributed to 378 families.

According to District Committee Coordinator Prakash Adhikari, decisions have been made to register the land occupied by 445 families so far, after completing all legal procedures. Land ownership certificates for 593 plots have been distributed to the families. The commission has stated that revenue of Rs 1 crore 86 lakh 31 thousand 495 has been collected from the distribution and registration of certificates.

Similarly, the measurement, revenue determination, and land registration process for 738 families have reached the final stage, Adhikari said. In coordination and cooperation with the local governments, a total of 20,174 applications were collected across the district. Applications included 248 for landless Dalits, 857 for landless squatters, and 18,910 for unorganized residents. Among these, 1,926 applications are in the verification process.
