Police Seize 436 Electronic Cigarettes in Rasuwa

Rasauwa. Police have taken one person into custody with a large quantity of illegal electronic cigarettes (vapes) in Dhunche, Rasuwa. The police found 436 vapes hidden while conducting a regular check on a container truck numbered Na 6 Kha 8027, which was traveling from Timure towards Kathmandu. According to the Rasuwa District Police Office, a team dispatched from the temporary police post Dhunche in Gosaikunda Rural Municipality-6 stopped the container and searched it. Information Officer and Police Inspector Ramesh Ray informed that the vapes labeled 'ELFBAR (30K puffs)' were found hidden in the front cabin of the container, which had passed customs and was sealed. Police have taken into custody 34-year-old driver Rabindra Shrestha, a resident of Aamachhodingmo Rural Municipality-5, on charges of being involved in the transportation of illegal materials. The estimated market value of the seized 436 vapes and the container truck has been set at 3.59 million rupees. Police stated that Shrestha, along with the seized goods and vehicle, has been handed over to the Rasuwa Customs Office Timure for further investigation and necessary action.
