Nepali Film 'Gauthali' Set for July 17 Release

Kathmandu. The film 'Gauthali' directed by Dr. Kapil Rizal is set to be released on July 17. The production unit announced the release date by releasing a poster of the film.

A film titled 'Gauthali' based on a story by Dr. Bhola Rizal was also made about two decades ago, which successfully completed 51 days in theaters. Now, a film has been made again with the same title.

The film features performances by Arun Kshetri, Simran Khadka, Madan Krishna Shrestha, Prakash Ghimire, Luniba Tuladhar, Rabindra Jha, Ishwori Baral, Sanyog Rasaili, Sita Devi Timilsina, Lakshminath Timilsina, and Rajendra Nepali. Anshu Oli and Prince Nepali have acted as child artists.

The screenplay and dialogues for the film, which has a story by senior physician Dr. Bhola Rizal, were written by director Dr. Kapil Rizal along with Nishchal Kunwar, Niraj Nepal, and Giriraj Ghimire.

The production team has stated that the symbolic meaning of 'Gauthali' is connected to home, family, and mutual closeness. The film, produced by Bhola Rizal Productions and Suman Giri Productions, has Sarala Rizal as the executive producer. Suman Giri and Dr. Kapil Rizal are the producers, while Indu Giri, Manish Rizal, Pralay Rizal, and Jeevan Oli are the co-producers.

The film features music by senior musicians Shambhujeet Baskota, Thaneswar Gautam, and Prashant Sikakoti, with background music by Alice Karki. The film, shot by Hari Humagain, was edited by Milan Shrestha. Rich Entertainment, Apple Entertainment, and F.D. Company have taken the responsibility of distributing the film.
