RSP General Secretary Bipin Kumar Acharya Launches 'Bill Lab' to Enhance Public Participation in Legislation

Kathmandu. Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) General Secretary Bipin Kumar Acharya has launched a 'Bill Lab' to increase citizen participation in the legislative process.

Acharya initiated the 'Bill Lab' with the objective of collecting direct feedback from citizens, subject matter experts, and stakeholders on bills presented in Parliament.

Acharya, who is a member of the House of Representatives from Dang Constituency Number 2, has made arrangements through bipinacharya.com for the public to read, understand, and discuss bills registered in Parliament, as well as to provide suggestions and propose amendments to specific clauses.

Acharya stated that while the government's primary responsibility is to present policies and bills in Parliament, it is the shared responsibility of the legislature, representatives, and citizens to study these bills thoroughly, refine them, and connect them to the lives of the people.

He emphasized that amendments prepared behind closed doors cannot fully reflect the reality of society, and therefore, the direct voices of the general public, experts, and stakeholders must be integrated into the process.
