Upendra Yadav Emphasizes Strengthening Democracy and Good Governance

Kathmandu. Upendra Yadav, Chairman of the Janata Samajbadi Party Nepal, has stated that there is a need for the strengthening of democracy, good governance, and a people-oriented governance system.

In a message of greetings issued today on the occasion of Democracy Day, Chairman Yadav recalled that the People's Movement of 2062/063 ended autocratic rule and made the people sovereign.

Describing this day as a glorious starting point in Nepali political history, he expressed the view that the achievements gained, including the assurance of civil liberty, justice, and equality, must be put into practice.

He stated that the changed system must be made people-oriented. He mentioned that moving towards good governance and prosperity is the main political responsibility of today.

He stated that the alertness and commitment of all parties are necessary to institutionalize the historical achievements of democracy, bring meaningful changes to the lives of citizens, and strengthen the rule of law.
