CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli misses 77th party anniversary due to health issues

Kathmandu. CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli did not attend the 77th party anniversary celebration due to health reasons, despite prior announcements. The party had previously stated that Chairman Oli would personally attend and address the event held at the central office. However, Secretary Padma Aryal informed the attendees that the Chairman could not participate due to his health condition.

In his absence, the event was chaired by Vice-Chairman Ram Bahadur Thapa 'Badal'. During the program, Vice-Chairman Thapa read out a congratulatory message sent by Chairman Oli.

In his message, Oli noted that the CPN-UML, carrying the legacy of decades of struggle, has set a destination to build a prosperous Nepal by embracing the principle of People's Multiparty Democracy (Jabaj).

'This party successfully led the movement to end autocracy and establish a democratic republic,' Oli stated. 'It played a crucial role in drafting the people's constitution through the Constituent Assembly and stood firmly to protect national dignity even in challenging times.'

Furthermore, Oli emphasized that the party must move forward in unity to overcome current challenges and urged everyone to make a firm commitment toward that goal.
