Nepali Congress Disciplinary Committee Issues Show-Cause Notice to Purna Bahadur Tamang

Kathmandu. The Nepali Congress Central Disciplinary Committee has issued a three-day show-cause notice to Purna Bahadur Tamang (Kanchharam). On Monday, the committee directed Tamang to submit his explanation within three days.

Committee Secretary Dinesh Thapa Magar stated that the notice was issued because Tamang allegedly made misleading and baseless statements against the party and its leadership with malicious intent.

'As a person holding a responsible position like District President, he failed to maintain the dignity of his office and made misleading and baseless statements against the Nepali Congress party and its leadership. This action is a violation of discipline under Article 34, Sub-section 1 (a), (b), (c), (e), and (f) of the Nepali Congress Statute 2017 (with amendments). Therefore, it has been decided to seek an explanation within 3 (three) days as per Article 34, Sub-section 8 (d) of the Nepali Congress Statute 2017 (with amendments),' said the press release signed by Committee Secretary Thapa Magar.

Previously, leader Purna Bahadur Khadka was also issued a show-cause notice.
