TikTok star and singer d4vd arrested in connection with teenage girl's murder

Los Angeles. Popular American singer David Anthony Burke (d4vd), who rose to fame on TikTok, has been arrested by police on suspicion of murdering a teenage girl. The 21-year-old singer has been taken into custody by Los Angeles police on charges related to the murder of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez, who went missing last year.

According to police, the investigation began after the girl's remains were discovered inside singer Burke's Tesla car last September. The Los Angeles Police Department stated on Thursday that Burke is being held without bail, and the case will be presented to the District Attorney's office on Monday.

Representatives for the singer, who had previously remained silent on the matter, had stated he was cooperating with authorities. However, police confirmed on Thursday that he has been directly arrested on charges of murdering Celeste Rivas.

The incident began on September 8, 2025, when police received reports of a foul odor coming from a vehicle parked at a Hollywood tow yard. Court documents state that during the investigation, the girl's head and body parts were found inside a bag in the front trunk (frunk) of a Tesla registered to Burke in Texas.

According to the medical examiner, the body was in an advanced state of decomposition, making it difficult to determine the exact cause of death. Officials estimate the girl may have died several weeks before the body was discovered.

The deceased, Rivas Hernandez, was found approximately 75 miles from her home. She had been missing since April 2024.

The daughter of parents who immigrated from El Salvador, she had reportedly run away from home multiple times in the past.

This gruesome incident has sparked widespread speculation on the internet and social media, with many questioning the nature of the relationship between the girl and the singer, known for hits like 'Romantic Homicide'.
