Partial Influence of Westerly and Local Winds Affects Nepal's Weather

Kathmandu. The weather in Nepal is currently experiencing partial influence from westerly and local winds. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology's Weather Forecasting Division, the hilly regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces, along with the country's mountainous areas, are generally cloudy. While other hilly regions remain partially cloudy, the weather in the Terai districts remains generally clear.

Changes are expected in the weather on Tuesday across hilly and mountainous regions. Clouds are expected to gather in the hilly areas of Koshi province and the country's mountainous regions during the afternoon, with signs of deteriorating weather in some places. The division forecasts that while other hilly areas will also see partial cloud cover, the Terai region will remain sunny and clear.

According to the division, there is a possibility of light snowfall in a few places in the country's mountainous regions. Similarly, light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is expected in one or two places in the hilly regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces. Meteorologists have advised caution as these weather changes in the hilly and mountainous regions may have a minor impact on temperatures and daily life.

There is no immediate possibility of rain in the Terai region, where temperatures are expected to rise.
