Legendary Singer Asha Bhosle to be Laid to Rest in Mumbai

Mumbai. The funeral of Asha Bhosle, a shining star of the Indian musical firmament, will be held today at 4 PM at Shivaji Park in Mumbai. She passed away on Sunday at the age of 92 at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai.

Preparations are underway to conduct Bhosle's funeral with state honors. Since this morning, her mortal remains have been kept at her residence, Casa Grande, in Mumbai for final tributes. Before the last rites, she was draped in the national flag and offered a salute. A large crowd of Bollywood personalities, politicians, and fans has gathered to pay their final respects.

In her 82-year-long singing career, Bhosle holds unparalleled records. She won over 100 prestigious awards, including 9 Filmfare Awards.

For her distinguished contribution to the field of arts, she was also honored with the Padma Vibhushan, India's second-highest civilian award. Her thousands of timeless songs have won the hearts of music lovers worldwide.
