Police Constable Brutally Murdered in Birgunj, Four Suspects Detained

Birgunj. A police constable was brutally murdered in a group assault in Birgunj, Parsa, on Sunday afternoon. The victim, Bikash Chaurasiya, a police constable stationed in Saptari who was home on leave, was killed in the incident that occurred in Ward Number 9 of Birgunj Metropolitan City.

Immediately after the incident came to light, Parsa police acted swiftly and took four youths into custody on suspicion of involvement in the murder. According to Parsa Police Chief Sudipraj Pathak, information was received in the afternoon that a group of youths was severely beating Chaurasiya with heavy objects.

Upon receiving the information, a police team reached the scene within minutes and rescued Chaurasiya, who was in critical condition. Although he was immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment, doctors declared him dead.

Police successfully arrested four suspects from the scene. The names and addresses of the arrested individuals are currently being kept confidential by the police, citing potential interference with the investigation. Parsa police stated that a detailed investigation into them has begun, and efforts are underway to uncover the underlying mystery of the incident.

According to a police officer involved in the preliminary investigation, a romantic relationship appears to be the primary motive behind the murder. Police suspect that the deceased constable was in a relationship with a woman, and a dispute arising from this may have led to his planned murder. However, police noted that the full details and the actual cause of the murder will only be revealed after a thorough investigation.
