Man arrested for harassing female passenger and posting video on social media in Kathmandu

Kathmandu. Police have taken into custody a man who targeted a female passenger during a ride-sharing trip near Naxal Bhagwati Bahal temple in Kathmandu, used abusive language, and circulated a video of the incident on social media. A team from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, Teku, arrested the individual and has initiated legal proceedings.

According to the police, the arrested man behaved indecently, undermining the dignity and reputation of the female passenger on the motorcycle, and made the footage viral on platforms like TikTok. To ensure justice for the victim and conduct a thorough investigation, the police have requested the victim to contact the relevant office or the nearest police station to file a formal complaint and assist in the investigation.
