Gold prices rise while silver declines in local market

Kathmandu. The price of gold has increased in the local market today, while the price of silver has decreased. Gold has risen by Rs 2,200 per tola, whereas silver has fallen by Rs 85 per tola.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, the price of fine gold is set at Rs 296,900 per tola today, and the price of the same quantity of silver is Rs 4,960.

Yesterday, Thursday, fine gold was traded at Rs 294,700 per tola, and the same quantity of silver was traded at Rs 4,875. Last Wednesday, fine gold was priced at Rs 299,000 per tola, and silver was priced at Rs 5,025.

According to international media reports, gold is trading at 5,300 per ounce and silver at 95 US dollars per ounce in the international market today.
