Nepali Film Industry Sees Commercial Success in 2082

Kathmandu. According to the annual report of the Film Development Board for the current fiscal year 2082, the Nepali film industry has seen a commercially successful year.

Out of the 56 films released in the Nepali box office, many managed to earn millions. Here is a discussion of the top 5 highest-grossing Nepali films of the year:

1. Paran

'Paran' has secured the top spot on the list of the most successful films of the year. Directed by Deepak Prasad Acharya in his debut, the film has grossed over 177.6 million. Produced under the joint investment of Shekhar Golchha and Ranjit Acharya of the Golchha Group (Byskot Cinema), the film features performances by Neer Shah, Madan Krishna Shrestha, Pooja Chand, Keki Adhikari, and Mahesh Tripathi. The audience appreciated the artistic presentation of its social and serious themes.

2. Aabata Aama

The second spot this year goes to the film 'Aabata Aama', directed by Chandra Pant. Telling the emotional story of the relationship between parents and their son, this film grossed over 131.3 million. Presented by Arya Entertainment, the film received special support from the audience for the comeback of Bipana Thapa and the performance of Paul Shah. Additionally, the film featured Bollywood 'Ghajini' villain Pradeep Rawat and Saigrace Pokharel.

3. Jerry On Top

5. Jaari 2

The sequel 'Jaari 2' secured its place in the top five by earning over 62.4 million. Written and directed by Upendra Subba, the film features the popular duo of Dayahang Rai and Miruna Magar.
