Filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani Confirms Work on Sequels for 'Munna Bhai MBBS' and '3 Idiots'

Mumbai. The Bollywood hit films 'Munna Bhai MBBS' and '3 Idiots' were greatly liked by the audience. Every character and dialogue from the films are still alive in the audience's hearts. Even after years have passed, fans are eagerly awaiting another installment of these films. Meanwhile, director Rajkumar Hirani has given a big update regarding the sequels of both these hit films. In a conversation with ABP News, director Rajkumar Hirani said, 'I want to make both these films.' Elaborating on the sequel of Munna Bhai, he added, 'We have been trying to write the sequel of Munna Bhai for many years. I have 3 to 4 half-written scripts. Currently, a lot of work has been done on one script, but it is not completely finished yet. Hopefully, it will be completed soon, in the meantime, we were not working on the theater work.' He further said, 'I have a fully written script for 'Dada Saheb Phalke', but I got involved in this again. I felt like I had to work on a comedy film.' He also indicated that the work on the film might start by next year. 'Munna Bhai MBBS', released in 2003, was Rajkumar Hirani's first film as a director. Sanjay Dutt, Sunil Dutt, Arshad Warsi, and Gracy Singh played the main roles in this film. After its success, its second part 'Lage Raho Munna Bhai' came in 2006, which received a very good response from the audience. Similarly, '3 Idiots', released in 2009, was also directed by Rajkumar Hirani. Based on college life and the education system, Aamir Khan (Rancho), R. Madhavan (Farhan), and Sharman Joshi (Raju) played the main roles in this film. People still remember the characters of this film today.
