Mandala Theatre to Stage Play 'Ijlas'

Kathmandu. The play 'Ijlas' is to be staged at Mandala Theatre located in Thapagaon. Mandala has already started preparations for 'Ijlas' after finishing the play 'Lahuri Bhaisi' on last Sunday (Ashar 7).

The play, with original writer Vijay Tendulkar and adaptation writer Vijay Visphot (J.B. Deuja), is directed by Gunjan Dixit. The play will be staged from Ashar 19 to Shrawan 10.

The recently concluded play 'Lahuri Bhaisi' was regularly staged from Jestha 22. The play, which encompasses the life, struggles, dreams, and social realities of Nepali rural society, was directed by Anup Neupane.

This play, based on the story of famous storyteller Ramesh Bikal, has been adapted for the stage by Sanyog Guragain. The play, staged in a joint presentation by A.J. Bob Studio and Crook Entertainment, featured performances by Naveen Khyungba Tamang, Sushmita Karki, Bhaskar Budha, Prem Dev Bishwakarma, Mohan Bhandari, Sandesh Pandey, Roshan Kayastha, Sunil Rai, Amrit Sunar, Tarun Deuwa, Shreya Shrestha, Sameer Bhattarai, Jyotsna Ghimire, Melina Rai, Anushka Karki, Palden Ghising, and Sejal Gautam.
