Film Adaptation of Vijay Malla's Novel 'Anuradha' Announced

Kathmandu. A film is to be made on the novel 'Anuradha' by litterateur Vijay Malla. Producer, distributor, and exhibitor Pradip Kumar Uday is going to make a film on this work.

The novel contains the rebellion of Anuradha amidst the oppression faced by women within patriarchal values and norms. The film will also present a social, political, cultural, entertainment, educational, and message-oriented story.

Uday has already obtained permission from the Film Development Board for the film production based on the novel 'Anuradha'. The writer of the film is Vijay Malla himself.

The director and cast selection for the film to be produced under the banner of P.R. Cinema Pvt. Ltd. are yet to be finalized. The budget of the film has been stated to be 1 crore 35 lakhs. The production company P.R. Cinema Pvt. Ltd. has informed that detailed information about the film will be made public after some time.

Uday has previously produced Chelibeti, Alpabiram, Kahin Milan Kahin Bichhod, Pahilo Pahilo Maya, Maltiko Bhatti, Hamro Maya Juni Junilai, Adhakatti, Manjari, Namaste Nepal, Sanrakshan, Shuva Love, and Lakhe Aaju (Newari and Nepali). The film 'Lakhe Aaju' is yet to be released.

Uday is also the former president of the Film Association.
