9 Current Ministers Contest for National Independent Party Central Committee

Kathmandu. Nine members of the current Council of Ministers have filed nominations for the election of the Central Committee under the ongoing first national convention of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) in Bharatpur, Chitwan. According to the preliminary list, Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle has filed a nomination from Gandaki Province Open.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Shishir Khanal has filed a nomination from Open, Minister of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Biraj Bhakta Shrestha from Bagmati Province Open, and Minister of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Sobita Gautam from Bagmati Province. Minister of Women, Children, Senior Citizens and Social Security, Sita Wadi, has filed a nomination from Karnali Geography, Minister of Health and Population and Food Security, Nisha Mehta from Koshi Geography, Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Sasmita Pokharel from Open Central Member, and Minister of Agriculture, Forest and Environment, Gita Chaudhary from Sudurpaschim Open for Central Member. Minister of Youth, Labour and Employment, Ramji Yadav has filed a nomination for Central Member from Open Madhesi Group.

Through the first convention, the RSP has advanced the election process for various posts and members of the Central Committee to select a new leadership. According to the preliminary list, 384 individuals have filed nominations from various clusters for the Central Committee.
