Driver Rescued After Vehicle Buried by Landslide on Beni-Jomsom Road

Myagdi. The driver buried in the landslide in Mahabhir of Annapurna Rural Municipality-6, Myagdi, has been rescued from the vehicle on Wednesday. The driver, who was buried by a landslide while driving on the Beni-Jomsom road at Mahabhir in the evening at 8 PM, was rescued by a team of security personnel and sent to Beni Hospital.

According to Myagdi Deputy Superintendent of Police Rajan Karki, who was at the scene, the vehicle's number could not be identified as it was buried in the landslide. The person in the driver's seat was rescued in an unconscious state. The identity of the rescued person has also not been revealed, said DSP Karki.

The Beni-Jomsom road has been completely obstructed due to the landslide. A team of 40 people, including Chief District Officer Rabindra Acharya, DSP Karki, and Armed Police Assistant Sub-Inspector Bimal Silwal, reached Mahabhir, 18 kilometers north of Beni, and carried out the rescue.
