Jharana Thapa and Suhana Thapa to Star Together in 'Ba: Ek Yoddha'

Kathmandu. Successful Nepali film actress and director Jharana Thapa and her daughter, actress Suhana Thapa, are set to appear together in a film for the first time. The mother-daughter duo will play lead roles in 'Ba: Ek Yoddha', which marks the directorial debut of established musician Hari Lamsal.

The production team had kept the cast names secret while filming for the past two weeks, but it has now been revealed that Jharana and Suhana Thapa are in the lead roles. The film, produced under the 'Artistic Entertainment' banner, began shooting on Chaitra 9 after a script and camera puja at the Pashupatinath Temple premises in Kathmandu.

Renowned musician Hari Lamsal, who has composed and sung dozens of songs, is making his directorial debut with this film. Lamsal also wrote the story and screenplay, which focuses on the importance and existence of a 'father' in a Nepali family.

Director Lamsal stated that the film aims to portray a father as a 'warrior' who makes tireless sacrifices, faces challenges, and struggles throughout his life to ensure a bright future for his children.

The film is produced by Basanta Lamsal. A singer and creator himself, Lamsal previously produced the film 'Karma' starring actor Bipin Karki. The film will feature cinematography by Shivaram Shrestha.
