Jhalanath Khanal Claims Interim Government Post-Gen-Z Movement Was Externally Designed

Kathmandu. Former Prime Minister and Nepal Communist Party leader Jhalanath Khanal has claimed that the interim government formed after the Gen-Z movement was designed by external forces.

During the Central Coordination Committee meeting held at the central office on Monday, Khanal alleged that the government led by former Chief Justice Sushila Karki was formed according to a specific design. A leader present at the meeting stated that Khanal expressed disagreement with the claims made by coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' and co-coordinator Madhav Kumar Nepal, who asserted that the government was formed through their own initiative after working through the night.

'Senior leader Jhalanath-ji delivered a lengthy speech. He shared his views on events from history to the present. He mentioned that Prachanda and Madhav-ji claimed to have formed the government on their own initiative following the Gen-Z uprising,' the leader told Ratopati, 'but he argued that the government was not what they described. It was a government formed under someone else's design. He stated that they failed to realize who formed the government and for what purpose.'

On Chaitra 19, coordinator Prachanda presented a 10-page report regarding election review at the meeting. Leaders began expressing their views on that proposal starting Monday. Today, 13 leaders provided written and oral suggestions. Along with Khanal, leaders including Bam Dev Gautam, Jagannath Khatiwada, and Rajendra Shrestha submitted written suggestions.
