Actress Priyanka Karki Apologizes for Controversial Promotional Song

Kathmandu. Actress Priyanka Karki has stated that her serious attention has been drawn to the controversy, reactions, and interest generated by the promotional song of the film 'Masterny'. Writing a status on social media Facebook on Friday evening, actress Karki stated that her serious attention has been drawn.

Karki also stated that the song, released from singer Durgesh Thapa's YouTube channel, is not an official song included in the film, but was created in mutual coordination purely for promotional purposes. She said that the song is not included anywhere in the film's storyline.

Actress Karki has stated that she has taken very seriously the complaints that some words and scenes used in the song have tarnished the dignity of the respected 'teacher' profession and the personalities associated with it.

She stated that when she embarked on the journey of filmmaking for the first time, she never even imagined hurting anyone's faith, profession, or dignity. She also apologized to everyone.

She said: 'When I embarked on the journey of filmmaking for the first time, I never even imagined hurting anyone's faith, profession, or dignity, and I will not do so in the future. I have taken the current situation as an important lesson to correct mistakes. With utmost respect, I bow down and apologize to all respected teachers, the Nepal Teachers' Association, and all the viewers who have been hurt by this incident.'

I express my full commitment to be more sensitive, responsible, and aware in my creations and subject matter selection in the coming days. I am forever grateful for the love, support, and cooperation you have given me since the beginning of my artistic journey, and I expect similar continuous guidance in the coming days.
