Heavy Snowfall Disrupts Life in Mustang's Muktinath Region

Mustang. Heavy snowfall has occurred in the lower regions of Mustang, including the Muktinath area of Baragung Muktichhetra-1. Snowfall has been continuous in the Muktinath region since this afternoon.

Dinesh Bhusal, manager of the Muktinath Development Committee, stated that the ongoing snowfall is the heaviest of the season. "Although it has snowed six times in the Muktinath area previously, today's snowfall is significant; it has been snowing for the last three hours," he said.

The snowfall has caused difficulties for pilgrims visiting Muktinath. Suraj Gurung, operator of Hotel Grand Sambala, reported that the snow has obstructed travel from the Ranipauwa bus park to the temple.
