Agni Incorporated Launches Mahindra's New Electric SUVs in Surkhet

Surkhet. Agni Incorporated Private Limited, the authorized distributor of Mahindra Automobiles for Nepal, has launched its two new state-of-the-art electric SUVs—BE 6 and XEV 9e—in Surkhet. These vehicles were officially introduced to the market during a special regional ceremony held at the Agni Group's Mahindra showroom in Birendranagar on Chaitra 20.

The event, held under the chief guestship of Harsh Bikram Khadka, President of the Surkhet Chamber of Commerce and Industry, saw a significant presence of local business people and journalists, including Agni Group's EV Product Head Suraj Rajbanshi and Mahindra & Mahindra India's Country Manager Mahesh Thakuri. Based on Mahindra's cutting-edge 'INGLO' platform and powered by the world's intelligent automotive architecture 'MAIA', the company stated that these vehicles mark a new journey in Nepal's electric vehicle sector.

In terms of pricing, the starting price for the 'BE 6' is set at 5.7 million rupees, while the 'XEV 9e' starts at 6.9 million rupees. Both vehicles are available in three different variants, and the company has opened bookings for all models. The 'BE 6' is certified to provide a range of up to 543 kilometers on a single full charge, while the 'XEV 9e', equipped with a 79 kWh battery pack, offers a range of up to 656 kilometers.

In terms of features, the 'XEV 9e' boasts a cinematic triple-screen display spanning the entire dashboard, while the 'BE 6' features a race-ready digital cockpit. Prioritizing safety, these vehicles include advanced technologies such as ADAS Level 2 Plus system, 360-degree surveillance cameras, and 'EyeDentity' to monitor driver fatigue.

Stating that the transition to electric mobility in Nepal is a significant step toward sustainable development and energy self-reliance, the Agni Group plans to expand these world-class vehicles to various regional markets across the country. Previously, these models were first introduced to the Nepali market through the 'NADA EV Auto Show' held in Kathmandu in August 2025.
