Manang Tops Ministry of Home Affairs Performance Evaluation, Kathmandu Ranks Lowest

Kathmandu. Manang district has emerged as the top performer in the second quarterly performance evaluation conducted by the Ministry of Home Affairs. In the evaluation covering the months of Kartik, Mangsir, and Poush, Manang secured the highest score of 19.5 out of a total of 20.25 among all 77 districts. Navaraj Poudyal, an Under Secretary, serves as the Chief District Officer in Manang.

The Kathmandu District Administration Office was found to be the weakest in the evaluation, scoring only 3 points out of the same total. Joint Secretary Ishworraj Poudyal is currently serving as the Chief District Officer in Kathmandu.

In the performance rankings, Nuwakot secured second place with 19.375 points, while Doti and Parbat tied for third and fourth place with 19.25 points each.

The Ministry's Policy, Planning, Monitoring, and Evaluation Division conducts these quarterly performance assessments. Division Chief Suresh Panthi stated that they have established various 'indicators' to evaluate the work performed by District Administration Offices and assign scores accordingly.
