House of Representatives to Hold Speaker Election Today

Kathmandu. The sole agenda for Sunday's House of Representatives meeting is the election of the Speaker. The agenda published by the Federal Parliament Secretariat mentions only the election for the Speaker's position. 

According to the agenda, Rastriya Swatantra Party Chairman Rabi Lamichhane will propose member Dol Prasad Aryal for election as Speaker. This proposal will be seconded by Minister of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Sobita Gautam, Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle, and Minister of Physical Infrastructure and Transport and Minister of Urban Development Sunil Lamsal. There is no other business on the agenda.
