Karnali Province Assembly's Seventh Session Concludes

Karnali. The seventh session of the second term of the Karnali Provincial Assembly has concluded. Provincial Chief Yagya Raj Joshi, upon the recommendation of the Karnali Provincial Government, announced the adjournment of the session effective from 12:00 AM Sunday, as informed by Speaker Nanda Gurung.

Speaker Gurung stated that among the major tasks accomplished during the seventh session were the passage of the bill to establish and manage the Karnali Pragya Pratisthan (Academy) and the bill to amend certain provincial acts. Furthermore, she mentioned that a bill to amend the Karnali Province Sports Development Act, 2076, was tabled in the assembly, and a resolution paper prepared regarding the operation of regular air services in the Himalayan districts of Karnali Province was also presented.

According to Speaker Gurung, the seventh session held ten meetings from the first meeting on Magh 18 until Chaitra 15 of this year, totaling 13 hours and 42 minutes of proceedings.
