US Airstrikes in Iran Kill One Guard, Injure Four

Tehran. One security guard was killed and four others were injured in an attack on a water pumping center in Mahshahr County, Khuzestan Province, southwestern Iran, during ongoing US airstrikes on Iran.

According to Iran's state news agency IRNA, Khuzestan Deputy Governor Valiollah Hayati provided this information.

Meanwhile, according to Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), explosions were heard in the cities of Khorramshahr and Hoveizeh in Khuzestan Province. Earlier, Deputy Governor Hayati had stated that the US military had also attacked various locations near Ahvaz city. This information was provided by Iran's semi-official news agency Mehr.

The US began airstrikes on Iran on Sunday around 5 PM US Eastern Time. According to a US official, the attacks continued for more than three hours, until around 8:30 PM that night.
