Raskot Municipality in Kalikot to be Transformed into a 'Digital Municipality'

Kalikot. Raskot Municipality in Kalikot is set to be transformed into a 'Digital Municipality'. The Karnali Province Government is undertaking this initiative under the 'Innovation Partnership Fund' program.

Municipal Mayor Dharmaraj Shahi stated that following the decision of the Karnali Province Council of Ministers meeting held today, an authorization for implementation has been received with a budget allocation of NPR 49 lakh to operate the Digital Municipality program.

Previously, Province Minister for Land Management, Agriculture, and Cooperatives and Government Spokesperson Binod Kumar Shah had informed that the provincial government had decided to grant permission to implement projects worth a total of NPR 3 crore 40 lakh across seven local levels in the province, including Raskot.

This program is expected to help provide faster and more efficient services to citizens by integrating the municipality's information, data, and services into an 'online' system.
