China Denies US Election Interference Allegations

Beijing. China has denied allegations made by US President Donald Trump of interfering in the US elections and obtaining the details of millions of American voters.

In a response given to CNN on Thursday, a spokesperson for the Chinese Embassy in Washington stated that China has always adhered to the principle of not interfering in the internal affairs of other countries.

'The US election is an internal affair of the United States. Its outcome is determined by the votes of the American people. China has never interfered in the US presidential election and will not do so in the future,' the spokesperson said.

Previously, China has repeatedly denied allegations of election interference and political influence made by Western countries including the US, Australia, Canada, and the UK. CNN has also contacted China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs for further comment on this matter.
