CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli Arrested from Bhaktapur

Kathmandu. CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has been arrested. He was arrested from Gundu in Bhaktapur. Police arrived at Oli's residence with an arrest warrant at approximately 4:40 AM.

The arrest warrant issued in Oli's name states: 'This warrant is being issued because it is necessary to immediately arrest you in connection with the investigation of a case including offenses against life.'

Immediately after the formation of the new government on Friday, the Council of Ministers meeting decided to implement the report prepared by the investigation commission led by Gauribahadur Karki. Following that decision, Home Minister Sudhan Gurung held continuous discussions with high-ranking officials of the Nepal Police and the Armed Police Force throughout the night.
