Ranveer Singh's 'Dhurandhar 2' Smashes Box Office, Nears Historic ₹1000 Crore Mark

Mumbai. Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh's latest film, Dhurandhar 2, has created a tsunami at the box office. By Tuesday, the sixth day of its release, the film achieved historic success, crossing the mark of ₹919 crore worldwide.

According to trade website Sacnilk, the film has collected a net total of ₹575.67 crore in India alone. In terms of earning ₹900 crore the fastest, it has equaled the record set by Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2. Pushpa 2 had also achieved this success in 6 days.

Dhurandhar 2 has surpassed the lifetime collections of several major blockbuster films. It has overtaken the total earnings of Aamir Khan's Secret Superstar (₹912.75 crore) and Ranbir Kapoor's Animal (₹915 crore). On the sixth day, the Hindi version of the film alone earned ₹52 crore, while it also made a strong impact in Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam languages.

Previously, the first part of the film, Dhurandhar, created a sensation by earning ₹1307 crore worldwide. It became the highest-grossing Hindi film ever by collecting ₹840 crore net in India alone. It also broke the record of Baahubali 2 in foreign markets like the US and Canada.

Despite not receiving release permission in Gulf countries and being an 'A' rated film, the Dhurandhar series has set a new benchmark in Indian cinema. Looking at the current pace, it seems certain that Dhurandhar 2 will soon enter the ₹1000 crore club.
