ANFA Pushes Ahead with Early Elections in Jhapa Despite Internal Disputes and Legal Challenges

Kathmandu. Amidst internal disputes within the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) and legal complexities, the current leadership is preparing to hold early elections in Jhapa on the upcoming 13th of Chaitra. The ANFA leadership is moving forward with final preparations for the election, challenging the repeated directives from the National Sports Council (RASC) and the order from the Patan High Court.

ANFA issued a public notice informing that the central office (Secretariat) located at Satdobato, Lalitpur, will remain closed from the 10th of Chaitra for the General Assembly and elections scheduled to take place in Jhapa on the 13th of Chaitra.

According to the notice signed by President Pankaj Bikram Nemwang and General Secretary Kiran Rai, all administrative work will be halted for election purposes as the team prepares to depart for Jhapa.

This move by the ANFA leadership has been opposed by the majority of football clubs.
