Elected Lawmaker Mahabir Pun Slams CPN-UML's Padma Aryal Over 'Taming' Remarks

Kathmandu. Newly elected House of Representatives member Mahabir Pun has expressed anger towards CPN-UML leader and proportional representation lawmaker Padma Aryal. Pun made this remark through social media, targeting Aryal's statement about 'taming' new political forces and young leaders.

Pun advised Aryal not to become stubborn and foolish as taught by her leaders, claiming that today's youth are hundreds of times more knowledgeable and clever than old leaders. 

Pun wrote, 'While you talk about how to tame new leaders, the current young leaders know well how to tame old, boastful leaders like you.' He also reminded her that the public had already 'tamed' the old parties in the last general election.

Questioning Aryal's political standing, Pun labeled her a leader who 'came through the proportional quota by flattering others.' He stated, 'Leaders with old mindsets like you, who arrived via the proportional quota through flattery, should not be so arrogant.' He also suggested abandoning arrogance and cooperating wisely.

Stating that the world has advanced significantly in the past 35 years, Pun urged Aryal and her contemporary leaders to understand that the Earth has completed many orbits around the Sun since 2046 BS and that times have changed significantly.
