Nepali Contingent Departs for 10th World Wushu Junior Championships in China

Kathmandu. A 10-member Nepali team, including six players, is scheduled to leave for China on Saturday to participate in the 10th World Wushu Junior Championships.

Rasmita Tamang, Girish Paudel, Lhakpa Dolma Lama, Sara Tamang, Samrat Thapa, and Tshering Sherpa will represent Nepal in the competition, which is scheduled from Chaitra 9 to 17. The competition also serves as a qualifier for the Dakar Youth Olympics to be held in Senegal.

Lanam Lama and Jang Bahadur Tamang will serve as coaches, while Manjur Maharjan and Govinda Bahadur Shahi will be the referees. National Sports Council (NSC) Member-Secretary Ramcharitra Mehta and NSC Executive Committee Member Kamal Bahadur Bhattarai bid farewell to the team on Thursday at a program, wishing them success.
